The ferry is currently unable to stop at Fingringhoe. Due to the design of the new vessel, which features higher sides and a deeper hull than before, boarding and stepping ashore at the natural riverbank is not currently safe for passengers.
Passenger safety is our priority, and we are actively collaborating with local partners to explore practical landing solutions. We hope to resolve these access issues and reinstate safe stops at Fingringhoe as soon as possible. In the meantime, services will continue running directly between Wivenhoe and Rowhedge.
