The ferry is run entirely by trained volunteers. On each ferry we have one skipper and one member of crew.

The skippers are qualified to at least RYA powerboat 2 standard. No formal qualifications are needed to volunteer as crew. 

Volunteers also help out with maintenance, administration and fundraising. 

If you’d like to join as a skipper or as a crew member, please get in touch here or talk to the crew on the ferry. All you need to be prepared to do is help out for a few hours each month.
